BotX addresses the skilled labor shortage by enabling companies to “hire” easy-to-use automated welding labor through short or long-term rental or lease programs. The innovative hire-as-needed model allows customers to quickly scale up – or down – their workforce to align with current business needs, with no capital investment. For customers who choose to own, BotX is also available for purchase.

BotX is designed to leverage your existing welders. Instead of continuing to search for additional skilled welders that are increasingly difficult to find, you BotX ire the BotX to be taught routine parts by your existing workforce. This frees up your existing workforce to focus on higher value tasks such as more complex welds or supervising several BotX! The included library of welding recipes will assist in getting each application to a good starting point. Once your existing skilled welders have fine-tuned the welding parameters to achieve your engineered specifications and taught BotX its task, any operator can use the BotX to perform highly accurate, consistent welds.
Your overall output can depend on many factors however when compared to manual welding most BotX customers see a 2-3X increase in productivity due to BotX working at a consistent pace, faster travel speeds when welding and reduced time spent grinding or reworking parts due to the consistent weld quality. In addition, one of the biggest productivity improvements you should expect is that your skilled welders can do what they do best, and a non-welder operator can tend to the BotX. Creating two welding zones such that BotX can be welding in one zone while the operator is unloading and loading parts in the second will significantly increase the productivity of the system. If your parts are small enough a divider can be placed on the 4’ x 4’ table to create two 4’ x 2’ zones. If needed, a second 4’ x 4’ table can be attached to the primary table, with a safety screen in between, to double the work area.
BotX will MIG weld mild or stainless steel (aluminum capabilities coming soon!) material that will fit on the included 4’ x 4’ table. How thick of material can it weld or how large can the work piece be? There are several variables that affect the answer to those questions.
